Mini New Year Reset!!

This is an interesting week on the calendar. In the Catholic religion it is the beginning of Lent. In my hometown of New Orleans, yesterday was Ash Wednesday better known as the day after Mardi Gras. In New Orleans, They say that New Year’s diets don’t begin until Ash Wednesday because of Mardi Gras and king cake season. If you live somewhere else this may seem strange, but think of it as a mini new year or a “do over.” If you intended to start something and it didn’t quite go as planned, you can try again! Or if things started out great, but it’s already fizzling out, renew your efforts.

We can always regroup and try again. Or maybe set little goals. Try thinking that you will do “your thing” until Easter or until Spring Equinox. This smaller period of time may be more manageable. It’s not the rest of the year or forever. It’s a finite time. Then you can pause, reflect, and set another short-term goal. Try getting through your year in segments. Maybe even have a different type of goal for each segment of the year?

I work much better with breaking things into segments and setting short term goals. Most big changes or shifts can easily be broken into smaller segments, so it seems more easily attainable. We all ebb and flow with any new habit that we are trying to form or break. At the end of a set period, don’t forget to reflect to see what worked and perhaps what didn’t work out so well. Then do a reset based on your reflection for the next segment of time. Any resolution or change you want to make is not a set it and forget it type of thing. You need to work the process and falling off the wagon is part of the process. Instead of focusing on your slip up, instead remember what went right and how that feels. That will encourage you to keep on trying.

Stop and take a moment to feel the actual feelings of success. What emotions are there? How do you look when you have achieved this goal? Take a moment and affirm those good positive feelings and images. Then you will feel energized and ready to keep moving forward. You can use manifestation techniques to help you with any resolutions or positive outcomes you are working on.

Don’t forget that I am offering Manifestation Meditation special this month. Don’t worry if you are new to meditation or if you don’t think that you can possibly be quiet and calm enough for meditation. You can positively do this exercise. I can help guide and coach you through the process. Then you can incorporate that into your yearly resolution or healthy habit process. This is just another tool in your toolbox.

There are 24 hours in a day, and we work and sleep through many of them, but you deserve to take a half hour for yourself to learn something that you can use forever! Book your session on the Private Sessions page or email me if you would like to do a group session with your friends. Innerbalance365@gmail.com

Take this time to rejuvenate your new year’s resolutions and find the success that you desire!
